Athletic trainers (ATs) are highly qualified, multi-skilled health care professionals who collaborate with physicians to provide preventative services, emergency care, clinical diagnosis, therapeutic intervention and rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions.

The Master of Science in Athletic Training (MSAT) will prepare you to be a confident health care provider and lifelong learner by providing quality didactic, clinical and interprofessional experiences. You’ll complete both integrative and immersive experiences in intercollegiate, secondary school, rehabilitation, physician practice and practice advancement settings.

Immersive experiences have included physician practices, intercollegiate sports (Texas A&M University, University of North Texas, Houston Christian University, University of Texas at El Paso, University of Alabama, Southern Methodist University, University of Minnesota and University of Florida) and professional sports (Minnesota Vikings, Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans, Tennessee Titans, Las Vegas Aces and Texas Rangers).

As part of the financial aid package, MSAT students will receive a 40 percent tuition discount each semester in the program and may also be eligible for an additional tuition-based scholarship.
